Q: How do I find out more information about Littleleaps Nursery & Preschool? You can find out a lot of information by reading our FAQs, and exploring the nursery website and nursery social media pages. For any further enquiries you can contact the nursery via the website Contact page. Your enquiry will be responded to by a member of the management team. Following the initial enquiry we will often recommend booking a visit. A visit will give you and your family the chance to see the environment, enable us to tell you more information about Littleleaps and allow you to ask any questions that you may have.
-
Q: How do I book a visit to come and look around? We think that it is really important that all prospective parents come and have a look at our nursery. You can contact us via the websites Contact page to book a visit. Booking a visit helps us to remain organised and ensure that we have someone available to show you around. Visits often last between 30 minutes-1 hour. We will often recommend booking a visit between 9:30am-11:00am, or at 2pm, as these times show the nursery in full motion and have the least impact on the other children attending the setting. For families that find these times difficult to attend we can make arrangements for an alternative time in the day.
-
Q: Do you offer funded places?Of course! It's not always easy to cover the costs of childcare, so we're pleased to offer government funded childcare for children from 9 months up until the child goes to school. The funding available to you will depend on the age of your child and if you meet the eligibility criteria. More information on the different funding available can be found on the websites Funding & Support Page.
-
Q: What other financial support is there towards childcare costs? There are several financial support options available to help alleviate childcare costs. These can be used individually or alongside Government funded childcare. -
Q: What will I need to pay for?Families that can not yet access Government funded childcare will charged for all childcare hours and sessions. Families that can access Government funded childcare and book sessions that use the entitled number of funded hours only, will have no childcare hours to pay for. Families that can access Government funded childcare and book sessions that use more that the entitled number of funded hours will pay for hours that exceed the entitlement. Government funded childcare is intended to cover the cost to deliver up to 15 hours or up to 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours, or additional services. Littleleaps will charge for additional meals that families do not provide from home. Littleleaps may also charge for trips, extra curricular activities and additional services (these will be communicated with families and families will have the choice to opt out).

Q: What will my child need to bring with them when attending a session at Littleleaps?Your child will need to bring a list of items depending on the child's age. Items that your child could need include: 1. Labelled Bag: A backpack or nursery bag clearly labelled with your child's name. 2. Extra Clothing: Several changes of clothes, including underwear, socks, and weather-appropriate layers. Children are very active and might get dirty or have accidents, so extra clothing ensures they stay comfortable throughout the day. 3. Nappies and Wipes: If your child is not yet potty trained, please provide an adequate supply of nappies and wipes. 4. Comfort Items: During initial settling or nap times your child may need, such as a favourite blanket or stuffed animal, especially for nap time. These items help them feel secure and settled. We encourage children to use these less as time goes on to support independence. 5. Lunch and tea: If your child is not having a nursery hot lunch please pack a healthy, labelled lunch box for your child. Be aware of our allergy policy and avoid foods that may trigger allergic reactions in other children. If your child is having tea at nursery, please provide a packed tea, or a few small snacks if you plan to have tea at home later as a family. 7. Water Bottle: A labeled water bottle to keep your child hydrated. We encourage frequent water breaks and refills throughout the day. 8. Outdoor Gear: Weather-appropriate outerwear such as a sunhat and sunscreen in the summer and warm clothing, including a hat, gloves, and a coat, in the winter. We love to spend time outdoors regardless of the weather. 9. Medications: If your child requires any medications, please bring them in their original packaging with clear instructions. Provide necessary medical documentation and inform the staff upon arrival. By preparing these items, you help ensure that your child has everything they need to blossom and flourish. For any additional questions, feel free to contact Littleleaps directly.

Q: How will you record and share my child's learning and development?Littleleaps uses a Nursery Education Platform called Tapestry. Tapestry is a secure online tool that can be accessed by website and app. Tapestry allows our staff to document activities, milestones, and progress through photos, videos, and written observations. Parents are kept well-informed about their child's journey, and can actively participate in their education. Littleleaps also uses Tapestry as a Nursery Management Software, which provides clear, transparent and accurate invoicing, occupancy planning and child registers. Further information about what Tapestry is and how we use Tapestry will be shared with families upon registration.
