This week we have been learning about World Earth day and will continue this topic of interest throughout the week!
We have looked at many ways we could help save our planet. The pre-school children spent time recusing ‘rubbish’ from a tuff tray ocean. One child said “I need to save the animals” as they scooped the rubbish away.
During our activities we discussed the importance of our world and how wonderful it is. The children enjoyed exploring different animals that live in our world and where they live. We focused on caterpillars and explored our own at nursery; they have already grown quite big compared to last week.
We looked at ways that we can help look after our environment such as planting trees and flowers. We explored during our own planting activities. We focused how we can help look after our planet not just on Earth Day but throughout the year.
