At Little Leaps our children are so inquisitive and keen to explore the world around them. Recently we were lucky to have a visit from a snail in our nursery garden. The children were confident to pick up the snail carefully and show their friends. A pre-school child said “It’s hard; when it gets bigger it will find a big shell, that’s where it lives”
A child named the snail “Mr Fred” and showed him the garden and found him a home adding leaves, rocks and water for him.
The awe and wonder we saw from this activity was absolutely fantastic and we cannot wait to see what insects make their way into our nursery garden again.
