Eid al-Fitr (sometimes shortened to ‘Eid’) is a Muslim festival which celebrates the end of Ramadan.
We celebrated the end of the festival by decorating our own special Eid biscuits and participating in other activities linking to the festival. The children in the babyroom enjoyed decorating their biscuits using red and yellow, mixing the colours together One child brought a staff member a Ramadan colouring sheet and pointed to the star, saying ‘star’ They also copied an adult pointing to the moon and repeated ‘moon’
The children then had their homemade biscuits at snack or took them home!
