ICT can provide a rich learning tool and children often love the qualities ICT toys and equipment can offer. For instance, a press of a button can lead onto 'magical' things such as a new sound or picture. Often children at Little Leaps become excited and show an interest once the technological toys are out for an activity.

We have found that old none working technological phones, keyboards, a computer mouse and laptops are a huge hit amongst our children. We believe that these toys can extend and elaborate role play ideas, especially from first hand experiences. A lot of children pretend to ring family members or their friends at nursery whilst using the phones. This allowed time for children to engage in the same theme as their peers and use their imagination.
