The children enjoyed making their own “pancakes” using some ingredients in their play. The children in the baby room loved exploring through a range of senses during these activities. They enjoyed patting, touching, scooping, rolling and squeezing their mixtures. The pre-school children’s role play area was designed as a “pancake cafe”. This helped children’s imagination run and create a wide range of new learning opportunities. Some children created their own narratives throughout their play during this time.
