At nursery we have enjoyed a range of mini-beast and life cycle activities. One of the particular favourites was painting butterfly pictures and making prints with these.
During our mini beast themed week our home corner was transformed into a minibeast cafe. This has allowed children the opportunity to prepare food using real products and create a menu for their cafe. As can be seen from the picture below some children drew pictures of insects for their customer orders.
The children enjoyed reading caterpillar stories but particularly enjoyed listening to the Hungry Caterpillar on the interactive screen. Some children showed an interest in ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar song’. 🐛
